Welcome to another Featured Card!

The current meta is based around playing your entire hand in a turn to gain advantage as fast as possible or even instantly taking down your opponents. There are a lot of decks that simply cannot keep up with the likes of Dragon Rulers and Mermails so they have to resort to new strategies to have a chance. Especially with all Prophecy running around, right? RIGHT?

Right. And this is the card to completely shut those Spellbooks down down. It takes down all the Spells or Traps that your opponent might have and will draw, effectively shutting down some decks. There’s a few decks that can put this card in their main deck. Dark Worlds can consistently summon Grapha and use it as a target and Malefic Drain can use their Malefic Stardust Dragon or Malefic Cyber End Dragon. However, next to these obvious tributes there are also other ways to get yourself a tribute. People tend to forget that there’s also an extra deck with monsters that can be used consistently:

• Heroes have it easy, they can simply use Miracle Fusion to summon Elemental HERO Escuridão who has a base attack of 2500 – barely hitting the mark – or Vision HERO Adoration who has a stunning 2800 attack;
  
  
• In Dragon Rulers you only have to summon Number 17: Big Eye to have an active EEV. With a 2600 attack, he’s an easy tribute;
  
  
• Evilswarm have a good amount of XYZ to be used. Ophion, Key Beetle and Ouroboros can all be used;
  
  
• Constellars also have a nice XYZ card to use, named Adreus.

However, there’s also a trickier way to make it work in other decks, decks that on the first glance cannot use it or ways you may not have thought of yet:

• Use your Spirit/Chicken combo in Fire Fists to summon  Sirius the Blue Dog Star. Alone, Sirius has 2400 attack, but as you may already have realised: his attack will be boosted to 2500 with only one Fire Formation spell, making him a valid target for EEV;
  
  
• Dark Worlds have another way to use EEV. Their searchable Field Spell powers up Sillva and Goldd so they become targets aswell;
  
  
• Not only Dark Worlds have a clever way, Dragon Rulers can use a tech to make it work. Since Dragon Rulers almost never Normal Summon, you can easily Set Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast. His effect states that both his ATK and DEF are halved when Summoned without a tribute, but this effect doesn’t count when it is Face Down. This means his ATK is 2800 and a legit target for EEV.

Personally, I'd say this is a side card and a side card only. With Dragon Rulers being a very popular deck, EEV just isn't that effective in the main deck – it can only really do damage in turn 1 and you have to hope it hits Gold Sarc, Monster Reborn or the likes (they can chain Rejuvenation anyway). But as a Side Deck card it can be devastating due to it being able to shut down Spellbooks and a wide variety of rogue decks. However, it comes with a price. You have to tribute a big beater so you really have to plan ahead.

I only side this card vs books , but then funny thing happens... Either i NEVER draw it or i draw it but can't make the 2500 dark monster.... So yeah i HATE this card the most because of this betrayal...


But yeah , definetly a MUST for side against bookies.

Love this card and I main deck it in Evilswarms (I tech 1 Xyz Reborn to try and make up for the lack of field presence once EEV's been used).

Hate to necrobump, but one small detail was nagging at me;

You can't fuse for Vision HERO Adoration with Miracle- I learned that one the hard way.

but overall great review. I personally wouldn't run it in my Heroes, but I'll consider side-decking it for Spellbooks.
Also sounds like a great spell-based Exodia killer (granted you draw it and you go first, and get a 2500 beater out).
