Six Samurai max out at 2, can't gain more counters, even if you summoned additional Six Samurai monsters. So instead of 4, which shouldn't have happened, you would've drawn only 2, however if you drew in that respective order you mentioned, you had it in the bag either way.

And yes, Six Sam United allows a max. os 2 counters (it's written on the card text) and Darksoul must be sent to the graveyard from your side of the field (it's also written on the card text).
