Hey guys/girls,


Yes i went for the first time to a local tournament and thats what happened...

It was a sundaymorning and i woke up early. My wife was still dreaming of a good looking stud i guess cuz she was smiling in her sleep...
I went downstairs to get myself a coffee and my 1st Lucky Strike of the day ( bad habit but dont we have them all?)
I opened the closet and took my map to check all my cards. Since my wife was still dreaming of another guy,my thoughts went to Valkyra
which i imagine as a Britney Spears looking woman with Carmen Elektra roundings so i decide to run Sexy Samurais. I took out all the cards
i needed and started the construction. I took my new,fresh Six Sam - Shi En - sleeves and placed the cards in it.
Waauw, the deck looks awesome and after all that i start to make my bagpack...my deck: Check, my gamemat: Check, a sixpack: uhm nope,
a bottle of lemonade: Check, a calculator: Check, paper and pen: Check, my wallet: Check ! Ready to go and kick ass!!!

I was ready for it and so was my scooter. I had to drive 20 minutes before i reached the trainstation cuz its a bit to far to go with a scooter. I bhought a ticket and went
to track 9 where my train was waiting for me. I took a seat at the window and i front of me there was an old guy eating his sandwich with something
that smelled like garlic but 10 x stronger...He smiled at me and i saw all the green herbs between his teeth so yeah it was a herb-garlic sandwich.
30 minutes later it was time to get off the train and now i had to look for the bus. Sunday afternoon and what is the main problem in Belgium?
On sundays the bus i need only comes around every hour...Damn, my research regarding bushours could be better right? Well, no problem because i
was hungry so i went to a bistro and ordered myself a steak with French fries ( French fries are actually wrong cuz fries are founded in Belgium!!!) and
a cold beer ( bad habit 2 off the day). After my 3 star dinner it was time to leave cuz i saw the bus waiting to leave soon....Hello sir, are you heading to
Wetteren? Yes mate, where you need to be? I asked him if he knows a place called PIUS 10 ( thats the name of the location of the tournament) and i was
lucky, he knew exactly where i had to stop. After 15 minutes on the bus he said i had to get off and walk 5-10 minutes towards the church and i could see
the location on the left side of the church. And yes,after 5 minutes i was at the place to be!!!!!

The room was kinda stuck in the 70's, old brown tables and chairs and there was a smell of s1 that was passed away 2 weeks but hasnt been removed,lol. It was very crowded and it was allready started. Some guys saw me looking like a complete noob that lost his direction and they came to me instantly to say hi and ask me where i'm from and stuff so i replied as friendly as they were to me. Ah yes, i forgot...I also had a list of the deck to give to the judges in advance so they could check if my deck is ok in any way possible. Dnt ask me how they
decided who i had to face but suddenly i was sitting at the table unpacking my stuff and a young boy took place in front of me and said: Hey mister,i have to play
against ya...I said: Ok matey, its time to duel,get your game on!!! I'll send you to the shadowrealm!!!! Uhm no,lol...I just say ok,lets do this!!!! Everything was in
position and we shaked hands. He rolled his dice and it landed on 2,mine at 3 so i could choose who could start. Ofcourse i picked myself cuz as a Samurai player its
important to begin to quickly get the Shi En/ Barkion/ Beast lock out. Draw phase: Kagemusha, Kizan, Grandmaster, Compulsory, Warning and Asceticism of the Six
Samurai. I didnt wanted to sync in my first turn cuz i was afraid for a 1st turn Dark Hole and i like to use my compulsory rather on an opponents monster so i set
Kagemusha and my 2 traps facedown and ended my turn. My opponent activated Foolish Burial and he sent Phalanx to the graveyard...OMG, Dragunity's ( I still
think they are strong and can compete with the current top tiers if they start off heavy). He summoned Dux and used his effect to equip himself with it. He used the
effect of Phalanx and went into Vayrajana. The effect activates again so i knew he would go into SDD or maybe Scrap Dragon to target one off my cards. He special
summoned SDD and i answered with my Compulsory. He placed 1 trap/spell facedown and ended his turn. I drew into a MST!!! I used it immeadiately on his set card and
it was a Bottomless Trap hole. Time for some swarming!!! I flipped Kagemusha face up and i special summoned Kizan and my Grandmaster. I special summoned Landoise
and attacked him directly good for 4150 damage. I placed my Asceticism facedown just for a bluff and ended my turn. He activated Ravine and he ditched Zephyros to
get another Dux in his hand. Then the kid activated Dark Hole,ffs. Bye bye monsters and he was ready for a second Dux combo but that wasnt effective cuz i Warninged
him the moment he summoned his Dux. He activated the effect of Zephyros and took his Ravine back to the hand. 1600 damage. He activated Ravine again and ditched a
Legionnaire to get his last Dux to his hand. My turn again...Zanji came to my hand!!! Since Zanji has 1800 ATK i can use Asceticism to special summon another
Six samurai from my deck with a different name but equal in ATK!!! So i summoned Zanji,activated Asceticism and special summoned Kizan. I exceeded into Blade Armor Ninja and
used his effect to attack twice! Zephyros 1, 2200 damage second. I knew he had the upperhand now...He activated Ravine to send Aklys to the grave and ditched heavy Storm
for that move. Yeah guys, he Special summoned his second Vayrajana and used his effect to send Aklys to the grave to destroy my Blade Armor Ninja...3800 damage,sigh.
My next draw was a Shien's Dojo so i surrendered...GG mate...GG he replied.

I noticed he wasnt planning to side so thats where i saw my chances!!! I had 2 x Chain Disappearance
and 2 x DD Crow in my side deck so i teched them in and took out 2 x Shien's Dojo, 1 Veiler and Zanji. He was looking at me and i saw him thinking; What are you gonna do against
my supreme Draggies you old man??? I replied his smirking with a motivated 'good luck' and we continued the match. My hand was very good!!! 1 x Chain Disappearance, Kagemusha,
Kageki, Grandmaster, Starlight Road and MST!!!! I summoned Kageki and used his effect to get Kagemusha out. I went into Shi En and placed my 2 traps + MST facedown. His first move???
Heavy Storm...I said this: Not so fast boy cuz i activate my Starlight Road to negate your cardeffect and Special Summon SDD!!! He asked me to check the card i've played but he damn
knew what the card was all about, guess he was just pissed,trolololol. It was gettin even better when he activated Ravine...I didnt negate it with Shi En or used my MST cuz i had my Chain Disappearance and thats more important to use against his kinda strategy! He ditched Phalanx to get a Dux in hand. He summoned Dux and used its effect to get Phalanx on the field. The moment he summoned Phalanx my time was there!!! Take this!!! I activate Chain Disappearance and all his Phalanx were removed from play...He couldnt laugh anymore friends,i can assure you that!!! He ended his turn but before that i activated my MST on his Ravine. He was speechless...He had no facedowns so i had a clear way to try to take him down!!! My draw was a Kizan and i Special Summoned Kizan and Grandmaster to the field. 6400 Damage...This game was mine,it had to be!!! He couldnt do a thing and surrendered. I saw his hand and he had Zephyros, Aklys x 2 and MST in hand.1-1 and now for victory!!!!

My hand was powerfull again: Heavy Storm, Compulsory, Kizan x 2, Kagemusha and DD Crow. He started off with
setting a monster and 2 cards facedown. That was the moment i realized his hand wasnt that good and if a Dragunity player sets a monster it has to be Aklys or Phalanx. I was not worried
about his 2 traps or spells cuz i knew he didnt ran Starlight Road because i remembered his reaction when i activated my Starlight Road in Game 2! I Heavy Stormed his cards and i was lucky
i did that move. The 2 cards were Bottomless Trap Hole and a Warning. My time to open up my box of tricks!!! I drew into an Elder of the Six Samurai and thats what i Special Summoned.
I summoned my Kagemusha and synced Shi En. I attacked and yes i was right...It was Aklys. I set Compulsory and ended my turn. He didnt had Terraforming or Ravine in hand so he was crippled untill he drew into one. He had a Legionnaire though which he summoned instantly. His effect activated and guess what i did??? Yes friends, i used my handtrap ( DD Crow ) to banish his Aklys. The kid had to be so pissed cuz his face turned green and purple at the same time,lmao. He placed 1 card facedown and ended his turn. Its now or never i was thinking cuz
with Shi En out his facedown is useless!!! Ahahahaha, i drew a Grandmaster!!! This has to be GG for me you pussy ( i didnt said that but i was thinking it,lol ). So what should i do now...
Well i've decided to Special Summon 2 x Kizan and my Grandmaster and i went into an exceed of Excalibur ( used his effect to make its ATK 4000). I had Shi En, Grandmaster and Excalibur out on the field so i've started calculating...After 1 hour calculating...uhm i mean after 10 seconds calculating i knew what i had to do!!! I activated my Compulsory to get Legionnaire back to his hand and bloody hell, i attacked him with all i've goth ( 2100+2500+4000= 8600 Damage ).

I did it!!! My first Reallife match was a fact and i won!!! We shaked hands again and i said to him: GG my friend but next time dont forget to bring a sidedeck with ya!!! He was not in the mood for jokes but i think it was an important lesson for that kid so he can improve his skillz and preparation for the next time he goes to a tournament...Time to face your next opponent,Hostile!!! You can do it!!!

Interesting experience. Eventhough it was your first real life match, it looks like you didn't make any of the most common mistakes nor have any of the most common reactions: shivering hands, forgetting to send any xyz/synchro monsters in the graveyard back to the extra deck when preparing for games 2 and 3, etc.

Very good read on the face-down Aklys.

By the way, weren't you given a card with your newly created cossy id?
