I am gonna start off by talking about Dorm Leaders



Dorm Leaders are for dorm wars. Lately we don't see that many people in wars in general because of the lack of teams, but this idea should be able to help.

Members of the academy she all vote on who they think should be the dorm leaders. But how is this possible? There are to many people and each get one vote? This could take forever!There are to many people and each get one vote? This could take forever!


No it wont. Staff will choose 5 people from each dorm room who they feel is fit to be dorm leader and the members of CEA will choose out of those 5 1 person who they think should be dorm leader.

So after you have all the dorm leaders this how the wars will work.

First off Once a leader has sent a challenge to a dorm THAT DORM CANNOT DECLINE THE REQUEST
The leaders of the dorm will chose 4 or 5 (With or without the leaders To be in this war.


Now comes the fun part


Ill do an example:

Slifer Vs Ra.

They have to go by the format of team wars

(BTW the war manager is in charge of these wars as well)

Slifer wins...

All the slifers that dueled In that War can now all become Ra. BUT!!!!!!!! All the Ra that lost will be demoted to Slifer!!

Now lets say Ra wins Ra will get 30% of the total amount of DP the losing dorm has (Meaning those 5 people). This idea isnt perfect because My original idea was to give the winning dorm 100DP each. But then again the upper dorms would be afraid to duel because 100 isnt worth being demoted. I also just thought of this idea The DP instead goes to the dorm. What i mean by this is if this is allowed to go threw In the main shop they should have items that the dorms could have. Such as trophies (Bragging rights) and an item that could allow you to decline wars There could be more ideas instead of this one


Thats my idea of Dorm Leaders I probably left some ideas out on that subject so any questions you can just ask Darrell and he will ask me

Now For Assistants.


Assistants are for admins. Assistants are meant to do whatever the admins say so the other staff can follow there job. For example ill give two..


#1: Shadows RP section. Right now shadow is a teacher but instead of focusing on testing people she is worried about the Rp section. Now she could multi-task but it would be easier for her to focus on her job I am not trying to make it seem like Shadow isnt doing her job im just trying to prove the point about how staff can focus on there jobs instead of other things



#2 Hostile: At this time Hostile was a Tester So lets remember that. Hostiles DP party. We all know this is on of the best events there is, However instead of testing he had to multi-task and worry about the DP party instead of testing. Of course he still tested He was one of the most active testers, but he could of got so much more done if he focused on being a tester and more people could of been put in dorms Again not trying to make hostile look bad just using an example

And i didnt think of this untill know but another example


#3 Wing before he was quit: He had that DuelingKindom event But instead of moderating the forums he was focused on the DK event and this caused people to be able to do whatever they want in the chatbox.



Now with assistants They are here because of that. They can run events and do things that other people cant do because they're job is to do what the admins tell them too. Of course they can run there own events as well...
Assistants is just a rank and tittle They get no special privileges, No chatbox powers or moderating the forums powers.



So tell me what do you think about these ideas?

Lower dorms get more DP for winning against upper dorms. The people that rank up should be the 1 person of the war line-up who stood out, and did the best out of them.

Moved this here since Monica was asking me saying that most of the users would want this implemented, Sabb supported it and that CEA staff would support it as well.

Seriously? Free dorm upgrade/downgrade? Assistants which is what Mods generally do. War itself would be nice but aside from that... too many factors lol

Why did we move this here? Monica isn't staff, and if 'most users' wanted it done they can't say so here. Dorm wars is something Sabb wanted to implement, but this is not the correct way to implement it, by having the Ra leader tell five people to duel or lose their place without himself having to duel.

And the comment about me rping is funny but I've been doing rp first and testing second. I think it's silly to say that people can't juggle two responsibilities, then suggest a job that does nothing but juggle responsibilities.

Mhm, agreed with Shadow, though I should say that I only moved it because she was asking me to move it to CEA staff's attention saying that people in CEA chat would support it, Sabb supported it and the majority of staff would support it (evidently not given that it's got 3 no's already), so with claims like that it's only right to raise it in staff.

In terms of the content, Having 5 Slither duel against 5 Obelisk is obviously going to end in 1 way... a bloodbath...

So as far as the rest of the ideas are concerned with assistants, not supported either since I don't think anyone has any problems with what they're doing, and if they do then feel free to ask/say and something can be sorted out.

As for me, no on all points.

In its base this idea has potential - but the relocation of people between dorms following such wars is not feasible.

Let's say that this suggestion should get back to the drawing board in order to get more support here.

Just because a member tells you to post something in Staff Chat doesn't mean you have to. This is a terrible idea and I feel I wasted my time just reading it.

The Suggestions Sub-Forum exists for a reason.

Uh..wars are pretty frequent/popular. Just cuz she's not actually participating in wars doesn't mean they're not happening...so not sure where she got the idea that wars aren't really happening.

Dorm wars in general sounds bad. I'm not going to say too much more about it, but that's just my opinion. It kind of goes against what dorms are in the first place, and any unexpected result that occurrs (basically any lower dorm beating a higher dorm) would put the integrity of the whole testing system in question.

This is my base concern, and would, by default, mean I disagree wiht everything in Monica's post.

The most of us are busy enough with testing,modding,administrating,warmanagement,etc that this suggestion is just 2 difficult to apply.

Dorm Wars aren't a terrible idea, but if you implement them this way then they will be. Giving free dorm upgrades like that isn't how it should be done. Maybe the winners could get DP?

I don't know, but it shouldn't be implemented like this.

Assistants aren't a good idea, either. If an Admin wants assistance on something and there isn't another Admin on, they can ask a Mod. Simple as that.

Upgrading people this way would only diminish the whole testing system, it would take away the sense of achievement it brings when you get tested and go to Yellow or Blue which has only been heightened by the new rule of monthly tests that has just been brought in.

Ive seen people BA constantly just to get the DP so thay can retest this just seems a cheap alternative.

Also if 5 Red beat 5 Blue ( stranger things have happened ) would the Reds become Blues and vice-versa ? who in the Blue Dorm would even take that challenge.

Dorm Leaders - the dorms are not structured enough to have a leader and what if the leaders of the lower dorms are constantly going up in colour ( as you would expect ) just means constant re-picking of candidates and re-voting.

Just cant see how it would work or be implemented to be honest.

What is this? Under what are you assuming I supported this? All of the staff, except you it seems, know just how much I'm AGAINST dorm upgrades in events, as prizes/rewards, or from beating a higher dorm. Nichigo explained best to most of the reasons I'm against it.

I love how Monica has thrown my name around to try get support for something. Very convenient having done so while I was away. My only words were that we'd have dorm events coming soon, nothing like what she has suggested. I didn't even say dorm wars due to too many factors that needed to be considered.

Lastly... I am against all the suggestions in this post. Shadow has two roles because we were in dire need of testers so we signed up the potential candidates, and she was later given the role of game master due to being the best suited for task having the most experience. Hostile is a mod, that's his sole task, so I have no idea why you are using him as an example, just because he purchased a user event.

First of all , there is no point in there being a dorm leader . If you want to obtain any command over people around here go candidate for a staff member .
Yes , it seems very easy for you to choose 3 ppl and say , "look all here are the dorm leaders " . Now are they really better than everyone else on the dorm , just because you pointed them out ? Or just because they got 2-3 votes ? What will they be able to do , except show off with their dorm leader status on this " thing " here ?

Secondly , why would you go trough a serious duel ( test ) and waste your time with 2 matches and hard duels . With a low chance of succes and let's say you were near the higher dorm , but situation showed you did as a RA . And someone who wasn't able to do nothing on that same test . If the second guy wins by luck , why would he take your position ?
The point of dorm testing is to judge your skills and this "thing" here skips them .

Also I've seen an even with the same name as this thread back on NEDA - All players from dorms sign up on a dorm tourney and the leader gets the title " dorm leader " .
