note: I plan on adding tachyon dragon when it comes out

first : focus on one build not a couple togther
second : ur cards choices is bad , ik there a lot of cards that look cool but not all well work in the deck , this why u get a lot of deads draws

Then that's your basic Hieratic build.

Yeah but I also want to able to swarm. I was considering the mystletainn engine but I also want access to fgd or red nova if I need them (leaning more toward fgd cause I barely ever get to use red nova)

Then look up a staple Hieratic build. Just tech in Dragons Mirror and FGD.

The most common Hieratic builds are the ones that do not use Dragon's Ravine, so I wouldn't call it basic. Atum Dragunity is a specific build. OP, you want to focus on spamming Atum and not trying to do too much, like using Red Nova and Inferno Reckless. That's too much and the deck will pay for that with consistency. I'll give you some deck fixes and tips that should give you what you need.

You're going to want more Mystletainn due to it's level (it's also an answer to Veiler), more Zephyrous (it's sick in here and can be ditched later on with Ravine), another Ravine and 3 Terraforming. These combo pieces are all very important so you want to maximise your chances of drawing/opening with them

+1 Mystletainn
+2 Zephyrous
+1 Dragon's Ravine
+3 Terraforming

combo example:

Use Ravine, ditch Zephyrous for Phalanx if you don't have it
Bounce Ravine with Zeph
Use Ravine to ditch Phalanx and add Dux
Summon Dux, get Phalanx, summon Vajrayana
Get Phalanx with Vaj, then Sync Zeph and Phalanx for another Vajrayana

from there you can do standard Dragunity plays to get a Level 8 Syncho, or

XYZ summon with the 2 Vajrayana to get Atum, detach and summon Red Eyes
Summon the detached Vajrayana with REDMD
Synchro Summon a level 8 with the remaining Phalanx and Vaj

So from opening with Zephyrous and Ravine, you start with a field of Atum, Stardust and Red Eyes. Given that your opponent doesn't use hand traps. This is why getting the pieces is so important.

But if you go second and your opponent has backrow, you're probably screwed. Instead of Royal Decree use 3 Mystical Space Typhoon and 2 Forbidden Lance. Decree's too slow unless you're okay with wasting things to go on the defensive.

Inferno Reckless Summon only slows you down. It's one card that will be situational and stay in your hand, leaving you wishing that you drew something you could play. Dragon's Mirror removes the cards you want to keep in the Grave (Phalanx) so it's far better to remove it. Your trap line up could be better.

2 Aklys is too much given my changes. Exploder Dragon is better sided since it interferes with your general strategy (spamming). Gorz wil never be summoned since you'll constant backrow/field presence.

It's fine. You made a lot of good points. Although I would like to keep fgd and dragons mirror. 5000 atk has saved my ass more times than I remember

See, to me, if that FGD gets hit, you've just removed some very imporant combo pieces with Mirror just to bait a trap. That and I would value Avarice higher than FGD in this deck since you may need to recycle Dux and Vajrayanas late game after a grind fest.

this is what i made from his build and there are 3 replays too, definetly im gonna give this deck a bit of attention and improve it till i cant go any further tought i didnt got any red nova yet but the deck gives u some variety, didnt made any work on the extra side yet.....


P.S. ik that i made a couple of missplays on the duels and the deck its not very good yet but for god's sake i made it in 5 mins and its 3 am here , give dragunity hieratic a chance guys

For 1 if you want to swarm and maintain concistancy it would be best to work on Hieratic Dragunity more, OR Atum Dragunity. Atum Dragunity is more concistant and usually does about 1 synchro per turn. With the right had u can get off REDMD and hopefully pull off some 4 card monster combos. I've seen it in competitve play, and I think they did good beginning format during a YCS (topping). Ill look into it more later.
