I usually go under the alias "Azghyn" or "Azghyn Nite" and I'm fairly new to Yu-Gi-Oh! and of course the Academy and YGOPRO Dawn of a New Era, and I have a few questions.

The Chaos Era Academy used to be in the YGOPRO Dawn launcher, why not anymore and how affiliated is it with the software?

How do you know who to challenge for ranking and when?

I read something about Duel Points. What are they?

Also, how do you make a deck more creative? Does this mean going outside of the standard deck types or what

Hey there, Azghyn! Welcome to the CEA forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here, and have fun in the community that's been built from the ground up.

I'll answer one of your questions for you: Duel Points. Duel Points (or DP) is used to buy items or services on the forum. These can include: forum name changes, tournament items, dormitory re-tests and instant tests (available for members that have been with the forums for less than 2 weeks).

There's a variety of ways to earn DP. You can compete in events held by the admins (Destiny Board, Weekly Bash and other random events/championships. Some of these, however, require you to be dormed, however). You can also duel other members of the community in the Battle Arena and/or Shadow Arena. The Battle Arena is pretty much a ranked match duel using either YGOPro or Percy, and the winner gets 25 DP and a win on their record (this is fixed), whereas the loser only receives a loss on their record. A Shadow Arena is a bit riskier. Both duelists will get a DP bonus for competing, but the Shadow Arena is more of a "bet-on-winning" contest (I don't know much about Shadow Arenas, as I'm too chicken to try it )
