Veilering Gigant and running it over the next turn would be equivalent to running over TWO monsters instead of one. It was probably a move he made to maximize the advantage gained indirectly through the veiler play.

He could have won if he drew a few certain cards but i was lucky today

I confirm. As a note, we had to re-do the match because during game 2 Zacky lost connection.
