After weeks... nearly months being busy with some IRL I think it is time to re-start my fan fiction. I did have a few episodes complete from my old work which hasn't been posted but I figured that I might as well start from scratch.

The story will take place a few years after the world of GX: so no Synchros or XYZs. Rather than just writing the story however, I want to engage you, the audience, into the story. So here is what I require via PM from you guys:

A name and a screenshot of a deck. Now there are some requirements for this, since this is a fiction I only have space for characters matching the number of decks on the list below: this may seem little but you'll see why. (more will be added later)

For season 1; I am looking for characters with potential to grow: so no decks that are too powerful. I will be making characters with decks based on each type (which will later be expanded to higher tier decks later depending on the story).

Some basic rules for the deck:

1. Must only include monsters from that type.
2. No XYZ/Synchros
3. May only have a maximum of 3 Limited/Semi-Limited Cards
4. May only include 1 copy of each card
5. No staples such as Torrential/MST: be imaginative.
6. I need you to tell me the key card: the deck's signature monster.
7. Traps/Spells should be related the to type as much as possible.
8. I will not allow archetypes: e.g. BW for Winged-Beast.

Now an issue here is that as the writer I could just make the duel in any favor: now I will do something a bit unusual. I will have a match duel against some helpers with the decks that you guys send in, depending on that outcome, the winner of that duel will be decided (with more anime-like plays). Of course, the story will be adapted to that outcome.

Therefore, in a way there is no set main character and everyone has a true equal chance. That being said: I will not accept decks that are too straight forward: make the deck situational, give it a lot of combos. Go against everything you know about deck building: this is for fun, after all one loss won't mean much in this story.

we are allowed 3 limited/semilimited cards. he means other common cards such as mystical space typhoon, compulsory, fiendish chain, prison... im guessing...

Assuming there isn't any sort of date restriction on the cards, are tuners allowed despite no Synchros?

why not let players play out their own decks to make it a more interactive that way wins are more legit.

I found that people tend to take time doing duels especially with such time differences. I cannot wait for the replay, this isnt RP, the story is the time consuming part, I cannot waste more time waiting for duels to be played out.
