I was thinking about how it's almost impossible to truly have a Madolche player on his knees begging for mercy
, so I decided to make a nice side deck to counter them. A lot of cards came to my mind as I brainstormed..and here's what I came up with.
Thunder King Rai-OhEveryone knows this guy. No deck searching, and you can negate a special summon by sending this 1900 beater to the grave. This guy makes Madolche Majoleine and Messengelato and Ticket pretty much useless. Unfortunately if your opponent manages to draw the field spell, Thunder King will be run over or go head-to-head with the powered up monsters. Obviously you'll have backrow before that happens
I also thought about
Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, but he's simply too weak and if you set him they can just shuffle it back with Queen Madolche Tiaramisu.
Effect VeilerIn general this card is OK, but it won't completely hurt a Madolche Deck. I mean sure you can use it on their Mew-feuille, but they can just ram it into your monster, take the damage, put it back into the deck and then they'll just search it with Ticket. Basically, you went minus just so your opponent can go plus and do the same move next turn.
So something like
Skill Drain would be better over an Effect Veiler, but that's just my train of thought.
Maxx CMadolches really don't tend to spam unless they have Happy Festa, and usually they'll use Messengelato to search the field spell. Siding one of these would be better over siding 3.
Transmigration Break- Spoiler:
Trap; Continuous
Any card that would be returned to the graveyard to the deck is removed from play instead.
This card would seem like a BIG threat to Madolches, then it occurred to me that if they have the field spell, they can simply add the Madolches to their hand and save it from being removed from play. I found this thing in my "useless cards" pile.
Macro Cosmos is the superior card. Basically you disable their deck from functioning. It really doesn't matter if they have an empty grave. Most Madolche Decks rely on Ticket for search power. If they can't get it, they have to rely on topdecking or on the two PoD's they probably run in their deck.
This brings me to my next card:
Cursed Seal of the Forbidden SpellIf you play this card right, you can stop them from ever using their field spell or Ticket ever again (at least for the rest of the duel).
Prohibition is also good but Cursed Seal is a counter-trap (SS3) so you'll have to waste a Solemn or Dark Bribe on it. It's a minus 1 but it's worth it if 3 cards in your opponent's deck become dead. This also forces your opponent to rethink if they plan on using the Mew-feuille--->Messengelato combo. People also side this card against Gishkis, Dragunities (I mean you should) , and possibly GK's.
The last card that I could think of was
Rivalry of the Warlords. In the current meta many decks have only 1 type of monster (Atlanteans, Inzektors, DW's, Machinas, etc.). This renders Happy Festa and Mew-feuille---> Messengelato useless, plus it says "sends to graveyard" not "destroy", so the Madolches won't get their effects. This is pretty beast because it makes it harder for the Madolche player to Xyz Summon.
