So I replaced the Shining Angels for a third Maiden and a One for One. While drawing One for One early is amazing, it's an utterly dead draw mid-late game, so I'm still not too sure about it. Can be replaced if someone has a nice suggestion, although I don't want to lower the speed to getting Maiden even more, so it would have to be one heck of a card lol.

Zenmaines got swapped for Chrononaut since it's a Light. Too often had I started with TGU + BLS/Lightpulsar and raging I couldn't create a Light. Even though Chrononaut doesn't stall as good as Zenmaines (looking at you, Bear), against most deck it can still buy me valuable turns when needed.

Also first build with a serious Side Deck! I just pretty much slapped generic side deck cards in it, because I have no idea how to side for the current meta. But if anyone has a suggestion for a good Side Deck card, fire away!

waht about Silver's Cry?

As you can see, it's in the Side Deck. So I WANT to run it, but I have no idea what to cut for it/if it's worth the card I would remove for it.

I'm in the middle of building a deck, kinda like this but i'm running Hieratic Dragon of Nuit to gain the use of level 7-8 synchro's. I'm not sure what advice I could give but, dropping either the CoC T-I Engine or Dragon Shrine one, wouldn't playing too many Dragon shrine's cost you to lose targets for your drawing cards and vice versa? And aren't you worried bout your opponents effect monsters as you're not running any Fiendish Chains/Breakthrough Skill etc etc?

Yeah, after some more messing around I now switched to a more Chaos-y version by dropping the entire CoC/T-I engine. Since the chaos build allows me to main REDMD, having BEWD in hand isn't so bad, and there are 7 cards in the deck that can activate Maiden, so the odds of that are low to begin with. The only card I REALLY dont like seeing without the Draw engine is Labradorite Dragon, but that's always my first target with Dragon Shrine anyway. But WHEN it happens, I cry a little.

And I also realized I too have access to Level 7-8 Synchros (through Bright Star Dragon, who can activate Maiden), so I added Michael, Lightsworn Ark and Scrap Dragon. Especially Michael sees a lot of play thanks to Shining Angel -who leaves my field with a Maiden- and Bright Star Dragon. It's not too uncommon to have a field of BEWD + Michael on my second turn, which -thanks to Michael's effect- often leads to a lot of direct damage.

I also pushed in 2 Breakthrough Skills, although I'm not sure if they're the best option. I like getting past Zenmaines and co with them though.

Wonder Wand + Maiden is always a cool combo, u get out Blue-Eyes and then draw two, and if you're playing a chaos variant now you can also use it on Chaos Sorc for the attack boost or if desperate, draw 2 off of it after the effect. Just an idea.

@ Salik I tested Magic Wand, but I'm not sold. The card is too situational and this deck already struggles with consistent opening hands. However, the Ancient Sacred Wyvern is a nice touch and while my deck doesn't focus on it, it can pull pretty much the same tactic with Bright Star Dragon, so I added it to my Extra Deck.

@ genjutsumaster19: I want this deck to be a BEWD deck, not a Chaos Dragon deck that techs BEWD. But thanks anyway.

in the current format i wouldn't advise shining angel as **** gets popped left right and center whether its via FF Bear, Marksman/Infantry to Ghostrick Alucard or simply Exciton blowing things up. Also I don't understand the purpose of Tour Guides being in the deck, I get that its a powerful card and the decks a chaos deck so Leviar is cool but what does it do to support your decks goal. Your trap line up also looks a bit lol... u know... xD

some cards you can consider are Upstart Goblin (Consistency > LP) and maybe 1 For 1 as drawing Blue-Eyes is kinda pointless but fueling the grave for your chaos plays is good, but by adding 1 For 1, I'd bump Maiden to 3.

I also don't see the purpose of Galaxy Serpeant, is there like some sort of combo you have with it or...?

The Tour Guides were added because this deck has a serious lack of Darks, and TGU is the most splashable and powerful of all the Darks imo. I don't even run Leviair because I mainly banish high level monsters to retrieve them with the Dragonic Tower. In fact, I had been thinking about adding a Tour Bus so I can use the Tour Guides twice (by returning the first TGU).

I see your point about Shining Angel and I will replace them for a third Maiden and a One for One. Though I'm not sure how well One for One will work late game. Will require some testing.

And what's wrong with my trap line up? Mind you I've been out of this game for a long time, so I have no idea what is considered "standard".

I won't add Upstart Goblin since the consistency in this deck is good enough to be unable to justify the 3 cards I would have to remove to add them.

The purpose of Galaxy Serpent is being a Normal Dragon that allows me to dump 2 monsters with Dragon Shrine and it sets up instant Level 6 Synchro plays with Dragard. Even instant Rank 6 plays if I also have Lightpulsar and I need to bounce a monster away. It's also a Light in case of emergencies.

Ahh forgot Serpent was a Dragard target, it makes sense now lol.

Well seeing Dragard here, I came up with this moments ago, its pretty cool and flows pretty sick.
