Ok, I know this may probably get a lot of hate and probably get locked or something but I don't care.

I know I can't be the one saying stuff I don't know half of what is happening, but there are times when even normal members can think to themselves: " Why is it going so wrong? Or, Why can't they just set things aside and just go back to normal?" Well, in all honesty I have thought of pretty much the same.

Then the forum opens up again and everyone expects something and that something is the thread saying: CEA is closed"

@ Sabbaticus: I don't understand, you say that you don't want to be part of this community anymore but what made you last so long here, I wonder? You say, there are better things to spend your time on, why didn't you think of that before putting in all the effort in I wonder?
If you had this whole ordeal in mind a few months ago then CEA would be long gone but why is it still attracting members? Why is an academy that was "Once great" still looked up at?

Anyways, to the reason why I posted in the suggestions section.

I suggest all of you just carry on working like none of whatever happened in the few weeks never happened at all. A fresh start, just carrying on as usual with activity and events, just whatever, I mean just do something. If Jaaden does the Monday Weekly Bash, if Decato did one of his Articles, if Dova did the Highlander Tournament, I mean if everyone just did something little on eachothers parts then why would Sabbaticus need to put in "all the effort" he doesn't have to carry CEA if he just splits it up then practically no effort will be needed for it be running smoothly.

Lastly I would rather you read this as a eye-opener than anything else and not taking it as something insulting.

The Admin and staff are prolly no-lifing other games. Best example here is Hearthstone and LoL, not only the staff but the community too.

Edit: Not that it's hard to manage a forum of this size even with a fukl schedule it's possible. But we all see and saw how much effort the staff, admins put in this forum lately. A halfassed post over some months and that's it.

So here's the short version: the forum is closing because the community is filled with trolls/flamers and it's not worth his time (or most of the staff's for that matter) to continue to put effort into running the site as a hotbed for them. THAT IS ALL.

It has nothing to do with being half-assed. I worked on the ranking system and done some other stuff in my spare time, like an Artifact guide and some decks I've been working on. I spent weeks on it (the ranking system, not the guide). Think about it: if the members of a site you were running constantly try to undermine you, what's the point in trying to help them?

I guess, with this closing, I can learn how to edit manga or some other thing I'm interested in... Whatever...

Here's my 2 cents whether its wanted or not.

Long story short, different ''groups'' (since that's the trend lately) are to blame, I'll even take some blame for certain stuff since it some how drags me in. But its fault at both ends which lead to this. Most of all was lack of cooperation between staff and certain members. If people could agree at a half way point to make things work it would have worked and a few people could have mediated that by bringing the groups of people together. But things keep getting put off etc and well... frustration builds up, it also doesn't help when certain people in places of power get too personal on site. Not putting the entire blame on that, but it is a factor. I just hope something can be salvaged from all this.

P.S. You guys should check out the Raccoon deck, it's actually pretty sick.

This wasn't the reason why I created this thread, the reason why created this thread was because I wanted the past events to be set aside, for the thread "CEA is Closed" to be deleted and for all the staff to work properly to do something for CEA. I see that some off the staff have already taken the mentality as to taking new interests since they don't see anything in CEA anymore.

I just want all thr staff to carry on what they were doing before and putting in some effort into CEA, there I no point in dwelling further into what happened so please just delete the "CEA is Closed" thread and carry on.

I guess the "trolls" includes me as one of them right?

I don't wanna see this forum shut down and clearly many others do not either and also its obvious there's a lot of people willing help so why shut this place down now after people are attached to it? No one done anything with the intention of negative for CEA. All that's needed in my opinion is BA/SAs to be updated, events to be organised, dorms to be updated, main shop to be up and running and war arena to be sorted out. I know i'm saying this with ease but come on this academy can get all the help it needs without any problems.

Personally I hope this post helped Sabbaticus to keep CEA up and running if not then too bad for us I guess and i'm sorry for all negative things I have done to everyone and thanks for the great time.

Why doesn't sabbaticals give the founder account to someone else here who is trustworthy? Then they can run CEA for him or something

All I can say here is sorry my actions were not against the sensible users and members of the site.
We have rules without them we will be run by the (Wimpy Kids Yep that really what the gregs are if want to look them up)

I watched a friend here be destroyed by these actions and cos of it Sab shut the site.

I'm afraid that was the wake up call and it was ignored.

I wanted to do things for people who shared an interest all I got in return was snide comments.

So much was ready to go Stella had a new team system and was working on the ladder.
Dova had Highlander
Decato and Boat had such an interesting plan of deck challenges
and I had a new role-play and card creation section planed
We tried but we are all busy people this is our spare time cos we are in multiple time zones things can be slow. I guess all I can say at this point is sleeptight and enjoy your next endeavour.

I have repeated it many times the point of this thread was not to Moan about what happened or criticize people in the forum the reason I created this thread was so that Sabbaticus would at least reopen the forum and give a push to it but the way some staff members are reacting, they've basically given up and are justlooking at CEA as an empty place now

Sabb has a lot going on i'm sure and just short staffed and kinda get debunked by his community.

In anycase, it's for the best even though it is sad for some of the few who have actually put in a lot of time and work towards this website.

Sabb actually has time on his hands, and getting staff wasn't really an issue. People should stop speculating and making assumptions as to the 'why'. It's not an issue with motivation or time or staff. It's an issue with the community and the pure negativity from those who even offered help.

In terms of leaving founder to someone, there were potentially 3 people I trusted enough to do that. One wants no part in helping, the other is busy and declined admin but has been helping me in his spare time, and the last buggered off without a word.

I am only leaving the forum up to give people a chance to say their goodbyes and maybe get anything they want from the forum.

Shame CEA has to go, but activity had been declining for a long time anyway so this was bound to happen. I had a good time here and can definitely say that this site has been the reason why I kept playing Yu-Gi-Oh! for such a long time.

I just agree with all those people on this thread that said that CEA shouldn't be shut down, come on Sabbaticus we can all just work together and make this forum great once again. I really think that a community like this can actually just stop I mean I get that you have had you're ups and downs but haven't we all.

I understand you may have IRL problems that may affect activity on the forum and it may have already taken a toll but I think you should just get together the active staff tell them to put aside their differences and just start doing stuff bit by bit, I mean a small effort from all the active staff is all that is needed for CEA to to be active and fun once again

as much as things are right now I would like to draw a bottom line for this pointless thread.

and the line is that the staff here is not up to anything to hold this place active. they can say that this is cut off from their own free time and that members cant come and demand from staff to get moving themselves to entertain the members.
lets just view this from another point. if you open a business and you want to attract customers to buy (use) a service you providing, you must keep working all the time for this. but when you not doing anything, simply, ppl wont be visiting your shop. thus at the end bankruptcy declared and the business is shut down. same is here too, if you wont do a thing to keep the ppl coming, at the end the place will end up like here. declining the demand will get the place be dead, as shown.
