It seems that Warner Bros. is planning a new "Matrix" trilogy and the story is going to focus on the many different Neo's introduced in the "Matrix" sequels!
Latino-Review claims that a new Matrix trilogy might be in the works at Warner Bros with a 2017 release date. The site claims that the Wachowski bros. have already started the writing process but they say that there is no word if they will want to direct.

The filmmakers are rumored to have already turned in outlines and treatments to the studio, which is desperate for a big blockbuster franchise. Warner Bros. reportedly wants the first movie ready by 2017 so it can compete against the highly-anticipated sequels Star Wars: Episode VIII and Avatar 3, which are slated for release that year.
This isn't surprising as Warner Bros. is rebooting a franchise and they want to build another one in the case of the rebooted Godzilla, and are working hard to build the franchises of Batman, Superman and other heroes in the attempt to make a DC Cinematic universe so it is possible that they have the "Matrix" in mind as a possible franchise to revisit.
Latino-review hinted at a possible storyline. The Architect in the second "Matrix" movie notes that Reeves' Neo wasn't the only "One" so it is possible the new movies could feature the many "Ones" so it is a possiblity that Neo may return.
To strengthen these claims, AICN received a scoop from an event that took place at the London International School of Performing Arts, where Keanu Reeves spoke to the class about his career while promoting his new movie "Henry's Crime." He spoke briefly about "47 Ronin" and "Bill and Ted 3," but the big news came when Reeves revealed that he met with the Wachowskis. They told him that they completed script treatments for two more "Matrix" installments. They are planning to make the films in 3D and have already met with James Cameron to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the technology. Reeves added that he's excited to return as Neo and promised that the treatments will truly revolutionize the action genre like the first "Matrix" film did.
What do you think? Should they leave the "Matrix" trilogy alone or does making a new "Matrix" good idea? let us know in the comments below!
