DO NOT get Norton or Aviri or Avast or McAfee; they've been known to cause more trouble than actually help. |

I'd like to see the facts that prove ya post mate...... Alright, I will go through each individual key point and present what I believe to be "facts." "I personally recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. It's great, made by Microsoft, it's COMPLETELY free, and it hasn't failed me once for the 4 years I've been using it." The personal recommendation doesn't need to be proven. "It's great" is subjective. "It's COMPLETELY free" Here you go: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx. The first paragraph should present factual evidence. "it hasn't failed me once for the 4 years I've been using it." That is a matter of personal experience, and I cannot prevent facts because.. well, I don't exactly keep a record of everything that has happened on my computer for the last 4 years. "DO NOT get Norton or Avira or Avast or McAfee; they've been known to cause more trouble than actually help." Norton I speak from what my friends have told me. Avira has presented many problems with people in the past who attempted to use the game and had difficulties due to Avira detecting it as a "virus" even though it clearly isn't, and upon disabling Avira it presented them with 0 problems. For further explanation, here's a review: http://www.pcworld.com/article/254731/avira_free_antivirus.html and here http://betanews.com/2012/10/02/avira-internet-security-2013-review/ and here http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2410666,00.aspAvast is the same as above ^ but if you want further proof, here is a link to a list of reviews from consumers who had/have Avast. As you will see, the majority of them will be bad reviews with either 3 stars or less on a scale of 1 to 5, with even some of the higher star ones telling of problems they had with the anti-virus software regardless. http://fileforum.betanews.com/review/1028312263/1/view and here is another link http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews53226.html McAfee.. well, it's McAfee.. some people like it, some people hate it, point is it's been known to be bad. Here are some reviews: http://www.customerservicescoreboard.com/McAfeeThere's your "facts". |

There's your "facts". Microsoft will endorse all their products...and I can find random reviews, if you want, to point out the good points too all the bad ones you pointed out. I run McAfee here and on all PC's - lappys and servers at work because it works - and not my prob if ppl compile a .exe that the AV's pick up as a virus. So I will stick with something I know works 100% and has for as long as I have been using it. |

It's about the OP wanting someone to upload the .exe. If you want to talk about off-topic issues, do so in another thread. To jump in here and switch the thread's focus to an entirely different issue is just rude. This is simple forum etiquette. |

Both Azi's and Kenshi's versions also came up as trojans. Considering I don't use any of the aforementioned anti-virusses, nor have had any troubles regarding mistaken Trojans in the past, I'm not trusting this update one bit.
I think I will just wait until they make a new update. |

I assure you its clean, i work for a company and the specific duty is to check and clean files that have been corrupt/infected, etc etc What AV are you using, because Windows Security Essentials is the ideal AV that you'll want to use for protection and efficiency. Some AV's have a setting on them by default that picks up files off of a remote server as trojan's or win32WSP virus's. They're both clean, i can assure you. |

I tried AVG which refused to load
giving the same kind of error the microsoft one gave a network resorce was unavailable in desperate measures I tried Malbytes which found one program and removed it then I was recomended Hitmanpro that detected over a hundred Items mostly linked with sendspace and associated files and cookies as Malware and it deleted the lot Including Ygopro and all my decks.
Worse I still cant install a fully functioning Virus checker so I'm left with no option but to Sack my PC.
So I guess I wont be playing Ygopro again anytime soon |

Best bet is to try to restore your computer if you know how to the earliest date possible and roam around your computer and check your processes for any suspicious.exe's. Running it in safe-mode with networking also tends to help a lot when on the hunt for virus's |

I've got that running now but I'm still unsue this is not still reinstalling itself on shutdown and I cant find it Microsoft say only a complete reinstall will repair the damaged functionality. |
