Having been a role player for nearly 10 years it kind of makes me sad another will soon die here.

Zex did explain at the start that if you play you need to try to post regularly and I’m afraid that’s just not happening.

So what is role-play ?
Well it’s a story made up by the players the theme is led by a Game Master who provides the plot lines and fleshes out the background with descriptions of what players see and interactions with NPC’s (Non Player Characters) to help the story along.

Well who are we?
We are the characters in the book/film/series the ones that occur regularly in a story  normally the core of these characters  are friendly towards each other sometimes there is some conflict jealousy  between them.

What’s wrong with our current role-play?
Ok let’s look we are now nearly 2 months in and the character interaction if frankly next to zero. I know it’s been a a busy time of the year with the Christmas period  on the other hand we often get more time than when we are at school/college or work. Most are still playing as though the others don’t exist. I personally feel the GM is not really that interested. Some are even duelling with the decks we built and after just saying oh and so&so won a duel. If you want to duel another PC then for goodness sake role-play how and why this duel is happening.
 
How would you change things?
To be honest here we have too many players I would restrict the starting size of a role play to 8, new players can be added if some of your starters drop out . I would ask players who are so antagonistic towards the others to tone down or leave. Role play is a group of people who work together to achieve a common goal.

Lets put some of the things into context here if you were on a bus and a guy got on and came shouting his head off “All you are losers I dare any of you to duel me”.  Nobody would give him eye contact and if he continued to harass passengers he would likely be ejected from the bus.

I hope you don’t think I’m being too critical, but if we don’t give this a kick in the pants it will just stop and if that happens I doubt we will see another on this forum.

Yeah I agree with all the points you have made. Furthermore, I'm not gonna mention any names, but the Games Master(s) here need to step up and do some actual work as the RP is under their section of control, or new creative people should be hired.

I thought this might occur again that's the reason why I didn't join the roleplay lol

I first off I want to apologize for by absence my real life issues have been keeeping me away. With things like college, scholarships, the school play, and homework I have been extremely busy limiting my time here.

I hear your concerns, and I want to also apologize for my inactivity towards th RP. It's hard for me to do this on my own and take control. I will try to address your cobverns to the best of my ability.
