Alright guys,
So I'm noticing a few teams struggling with activity. I'm not going to name any names cuz you know who you are. If you are one of those teams or you are considering warring against one of those teams, here are a couple suggestions:
Do not crossfire war. I am seeing too many teams doing crossfire that shouldn't be doing it. Crossfire requires EVERY person on the roster to be active because you potentially will play every single player. DO NOT do crossfire if you cannot guarantee consistent and frequent activity from both teams. Or at least, don't cry when the last two duels take you a ridiculous amount of time to complete.
Don't do double elimination. Double elim in theory is a good idea. However, if your roster is not active over the whole, screw double elim. You don't need to make more ways to make people unavailable. The most active people will get eliminated first (since they're actually playing), then the war will drag on as the opposing team tries to get a hold of your inactives. Help yourself out here.
Minimize Heart count. I'm seeing alot of teams make wars with hearts greater than the team member count. While this is perfectly fine, do not feel obligated to add more hearts than your team member count. A 6 man, 6 heart war will give you more than enough duels to figure out a decisive winner. There's no need to go 7,8,9, 10 heart wars.
Bottom line is --> use common sense. If your team is struggling with inactivity or you're proposing a war against a team that's struggling, help yourselves out by doing some of the above suggestions.
PS: These suggestions are only band-aids. If a team is borderline inactive, they need to figure out what they can do to fix the issue including, but not limited to, dropping inactives and recruiting new members.
