I believe that we should have more events here in cea. Lets face it, it gets boring wen all you can do is duel for fun , ba, sa, or tag duels. We should have more championships and tournaments or any other event you guys can come up with. You could have prizes such as dp or anything else you can think of. With more events there is more of a variety of things to do and we don't get as bored with this place.

yes and no. note how difficult it has been thus far to do just one tournament. we don't need more events, we need more participation. until that happens, more events will just fail and ruin the game's fun

This is almost spot on. The amount of effort thats been put in for just the YCC is ridiculous, not to mention the fact that some people can't even manage to participate in this tournament, which makes the managers of these events not want to do things on this sort of scale when the amount of work they're putting in isn't even taken and appreciated. Until we have a more active and dedicated or even larger member base, i don't see the event management team sticking their neck out with new bigger and better events until the community starts to participate and appreciate the ones they're trying their best to do as is.

However, i would like to host more events, but the more events, the more work and time is needed. It's like setting up a festival and 10 people showing up. We want to appease are community, but not at the cost of going unappreciated.

like im not saying have a lot of big events i mean just even some small one from time to time to stir things up and make stuff interesting we dont need alot of large scale events we dnt have enough ppl for that

umm... you can host those yourself. Even hosting small events takes commitment. It's only 600 DP.

Not to mention there's the Weekly Bash every week, every Monday night. Winner gets some DPs and runner up as well! It's pretty fun as people use new decks, it's 16 man single elimination duel system. So, try and participate in that.

For some people weekley bash is in the morning (like me) and I have school on mondays so I've never had a chance on it and neither have some others because of the time difference.

me too. bash starts 30 minutes before i get home, and everyone fiends for sign-ups lol, so no chance for me getting in on it, unless there is a holiday that day.

you don't have to be an event manager, you can buy permission to do this in the CEA main shop. The event manager's are for CEA official events.

LordMelchett and Hostile are planning more events towards the future.
Its kinda stupid that some inhere doesnt understand how much work it takes 2 host, judge and manage the YCC.

After the YCC there will be a Hostile DP party event and we will have at least 2 more YCC's after this one. (in 2013)

We do all we can and if you think its easy, try 2 do it yourself.

Like some mentioned...Host some small events yourself and be creative...

Personally, if you're not willing to actively pursue something, you really shouldn't be telling other people to do it instead. And trust me, hosting even small events takes much more time and effort than you're thinking. There's matchups, extra rules (if used), handling any disputes, replays, etc. It's not so simple as "Here's an event. Go here." It's kind of like handling a war, but instead of a week or 2, compress it to a couple days or even less. For small events, you need to actually set aside a chunk of time (few hours' worth) so you need to plan your RL schedule for it as well. Get the idea? They're not spontaneous things; you need to plan it. More events would be nice, but it would take time and commitment - something not a lot of people have (time especially).
