I'm honestly shocked no-one has mentioned this before
Sure, it requires a mist valley non tuner, but the ease of summoning this monster in a Mist Valley deck is beyond a joke
The field spell Divine Wind Of The Mist Valley allows you to SS Genex Ally Birdman and instantly play a lv4 wind from the deck, Falcon would probably be the best choice
Or you could return Thunderbird to the hand to summon Birdman, Thunderbird would resummon itself, the field would allow you to summon Genex Blastfan and add another Birdman to your hand
As for the synchro itself, the overpowered combos are endless
Your Turn
- Big Bang Shot (Remove an opponents monster from play) - Swords of Revealing Light ( Eternal Swords, Opponent can never attack) - Gravity Bind or Restriction cards (return then so they don't affect you, then replay them on your opponent) - Mind Control + Return the monster to their hand - Can return Call of the Haunted or Limit Reverse if the monsters were used as Synchro/ Xyz material - Use with Sacred Crane + COTH for a extra draw every turn - Can help with swarming via Divine Wind - Can defeat Catastor in battle through Fiendish Chain, and return Chain to the hand during Damage Step since Catastor has already missed the timing
Opponents Turn
- Save a card from being destroyed by a MST or Heavy Storm - Return a monster targeted by Prison to the hand, whilst activating Divine Wind to Summon a replacement - Returning a attack target to the hand would negate the attack declaration
Those are just a couple of ideas, Not to mention Thunder Lord has 2600 attack and 3100 whenever it bounces a card making it stronger than the common majority of Synchros
But I certainly think this card hasn't got the spotlight it deserves, I reckon Mist Valley have been overlooked, the combos the deck can do are quite impressive

If you play Fiendish Chain on Catastor lol...then it can't even attack xD.

Ah that's true, i'll edit it, so the fiendish combo is in your own turn
Getting in some good duels with MV currently, i'll make a video soon

Mist Valley Ninja is a deck that can consistently bring out the lv 7 bird which negates effects.

Want a broken combo? Opponent attacks your monster. Chain Safe Zone to their monster, then bounce it with Lord. Their monster dies and you can reuse this combo again next turn. :3
