I wanted to take a stun deck I liked a lot and try to make it a better contender for the meta. This would be what I have thus far.

Revisting the Ol' Gadgets NQcZvOQ

The Gadget deck is based on consistent +1's to out-resource your opponent as you impede his or her strategy, which is exactly what today's "stun" deck (Satellarknights) does well. Each Gadget recruits the other; including multiples of all colors means they're seldom dead and you have more access to free cards. This build typically focuses on using the resources gained from the Gadgets to summon more powerful cards like Machina Fortress, in addition to maintaining advantage.

Splashing in these guys with other +1 cards, like the Machina Engine, allow for bigger plays, such as summoning a Machina Fortress equipped with a Machina Gearframe, or a Tin Goldfish to make a Rank 4. Armed with traps in the backrow, you have a great field presence, even with so little monsters.

In contrast to decks today, which have more special summons than normal, Gadgets are the opposite, with many normal summons and few but sufficient special summons. This makes the deck slow, but key cards can compensate for that, like Lose 1 Turn and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast.

With regards to the Machina engine, Megaform is a great addition in comparison to its predecessor, Machina Cannon. Before, a Torrential Tribute, Raigeki, or maybe a Mirror Force would put you back when summoning Machina Fortress, because before it could not replace itself. Megaform fulfills that purpose of replacement, so if you discard Megaform for Fortress, even if your opponent overpowers Fortress, you're still set. Just remember you have a limited number of Fortresses; avoid banishing them all. (Some people prefer 3. I like 2 to prevent clog. Discarding 2 Fortresses to summon 1 is always bad.)

Admittedly, there are quite a few weaknesses to this deck.
1. Normal summon based: The deck is so heavily reliant on normal summons that simple effect negation can put you back a turn or two. Cards like Effect Veiler on your Gearframe or Auger hurt a lot. The only out to these counters are Book of Moon, and possibly Forbidden Lance, if not MST.

2. Slow: These sorts of decks are slow and can be inconsistent. Auger and Duality cushion that issue but only to limited extents. Tin Goldfish into Gear Gigant X is usually a decisive play in worst case scenarios where you don't have a Gearframe, or even a Gadget as food for Fortress.

3. Weak: The Gadgets are little, Green Gadget having the highest ATK of 1400, which is only so good as to crashing into a Manju or Senju. Therefore, your deck space is partially dedicated to battle traps: Fiendish Chain and Mirror Force, Fiendish Chain extremely important for its dual-purpose utility. Gearframe and Fortress also solve this problem, but sometimes you might not have the resources or the targets to make much use of both. Dark Hole and Raigeki play a large purpose in disposing incredibly established fields as well.

Moving on to some personal techs:
-Geargia Auger. When this card arrived I realized it had great utility in this deck. It took some of the weight off of Tin Goldfish to search Gearframe or a Gadget. If you take advantage of its card text, you can summon whatever you need, conduct your battle phase, and still have a free search through almost your entire deck.
-Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. If BA can do it because they generate free cards, I say this deck can do it too. I might cut these though, because when summoning Fortress you won't always have a card in hand. It also leaves you open to be Trished.
-Lose 1 Turn. Why wouldn't you run this in this deck?

Overall it's a fun deck to play. When put against the meta, it does a fair job. I'm sorry if I'm being too generous. I've mainly tested it against Shaddoll and Nekroz, and a couple of times against Satellarknights; I have yet to try my hand with Kozmo and BA.

Good old gadgets; just for any Rank 4 deck these days though: Check out Shining No. 39: Utopia the Lightning, Trick Clown (of course this will make it shift towards to OP Performages and Pals but you could always mix it

I was actually considering running Instant Fusion and Glow-Up Bulb for Naturia Beast and Synchro Trishula, but the Gadgets don't cater to those cards, especially since their effects won't work with Norden.

Damage Juggler as a Battle Trap and Hat-Tricker do seem nice though. Trick Clown not so much.
