Match Duel #1: Chaos Agents vs. Evilswarm
3/10 points
Deck Construction: 8/20 points
The first thing I’ll touch on is the Extra. There are too many Evilswarm XYZs and not enough staple Rank 4s. Specifically, 1 Ouroboros, 1 Bahamut, 1 Thanatos and 1 Nightmare could be cut for Utopia, Maestroke and Chain/Utopia Ray/Pearl/Papillo.
As for the Main, one major flaw in your deck is that you have nothing to stop me from attacking and destroying Ophion with something bigger than itself. Grave of the Ancient Organism may seem like a nice tech but ultimately it is a Side Deck card due to the fact that it can be situational vs. too many decks. The same applies to Verz Zahhak, Verz Azathoth and Void Trap Hole. You’d be better off using Solemn Warnings, Solemn Judgment, Heavy Storm and defensive traps. Chaos Zone with Salamandra and Creeping Darkness is a nice touch but 3 of the latter is a little excessive. Corrosive Infestation is a minus and better replaced with Pot of Duality.
You showed no sign of side decking in both duels and the deck size was 46.
Performance: 15/20 points
G1 Nice plays with Dark Hole and Infestation Pandemic Infection and good job closing up with DaD and Ophion. No misplays and solid performance.
G2 Turn 6 you could have attacked Rai-oh instead of Alchemist to stop me from getting a TGU or Black Luster, ready to use in my Main Phase 1. Other than that, did fine.
G3 You set two without protection when you didn’t need to and got Heavy’d. If you had held onto Void Trap Hole, Hyperion wouldn’t have been a problem in the next few turns.

5/10
Deck Construction: 8/20 points
Again I’ll start with the Extra. It would benefit from having T.G. Hyper Librarian, Catastor, Black Rose Dragon and Scrap Dragon. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to add Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord and a Rank 6. Some of the Dragunity Synchros are subpar and worth removing in favor of my suggestions.
First thing I noticed about the Main was Scrubbed Raid. The card did nothing but wear you down. It doesn’t remove threats and you don’t need to stall; defensive traps would prove much more useful. I understand that Scrap Iron can be a tech choice but it falls under the category of cards that are better replaced. Dragon Mastery is a bad card and the lack of staples (Dark Hole, Solemn brigade, Mystical Space Typhoon) stopped your deck from reaching its potential. Felgrand only has synergy with Leyvaten and the addition of cards to help you summon Shooting Star and Quasar might be a neat personal touch, but they ultimately serve to disrupt the flow of the deck. Dragunities need Ravine ASAP, hence the use of Terraforming. You do not use Terraforming.
You showed no sign of side decking in both duels and the deck size was 43.
Performance: 12/20 points
G1 Needlessly used Scrubbed Raid only serving to lessen my worries about your backrow. Using Call of the Haunted during my Battle Phase to grab a target I couldn’t run over displayed your lack of knowledge concerning my deck; one of my backrow was bound to be Phantom Horn. Used Call again during my Battle Phase on a monster I would have run over regardless of stat boosts, caring more about LP than using cards at the right time (would have survived this direct attack btw).
G2 Whilst getting out Shooting Star was nice move, a safer move would have been to summon Scrap Dragon on Turn 5, pop my backrow and safely attack Gaia. This also would have been better in the long run.
G3 Turn 4 dumping Aklys to use with Legionnaire would have been better, for the short and long run.
