I stumpled upon this new card that came out with the Abyss rising pack! This is like a Dimensional Fissure except that you have to lose lifepoints, but you get to steal your opponents monsters!

What's that, you stole my 4500 ATK monster and paid 4500 LP? Dark Hole. Dimensional Prison. Et cetera.

By using this card you're relying on your opponent to have a worthwhile monster to steal. Furthermore the LP cost is punishing and can cause conflicts with the Solemn brigade. A simple monster removal card could in effect cost you anywhere between 25% and 50% of your original LP.

If you're looking for a lulzy trap that isn't staple, it's worth looking else where. Side deck material for rogue decks at best.

Takes the best part of 3 turns for you to be able to steal the monster, definately useless. Most duels are halfway over by that time lol

I'd definitely not use this and continue to use Creature Swap, etc.. to exchange my floaters for your beaters!

will need to look at its ruling as you could chain cards to gain lp like rainbow life so use other cards to stop the damage i.e one day of peace

The damage is a required effect that must resolve for the other effect to resolve. If you don't take damage, the effect doesn't fully resolve.
