Hey guys, just hear to report my tournament experience today at locals which was a special event as the top 4 places got free entry to YCS London as well as additional prizes which I'll talk about towards the end of the report. The deck I played (which will be no shocker to those who know me) was Evilswarms! I bought the deck this morning right before the event from a dealer whom I've been in contact with for the past week or so who cut me a nice deal on the deck list I texted him with side and extra. The only card which I didn't get a hold of was Diamond Dire Wolf as it's kinda pricey atm and I didn't want to spend over £250 for the deck. Anyways off to the swiss rounds.

Round 1: Evilswarm Vs. Prophecy

Game 1 he had way too much advantaged and just destroyed me with World of Prophecy. Game 2 there was a bit of controversy involving my D.D. Crow (which I sided in) and his Spellbook of Masters. I chained D.D. Crow to the Secrets he targetted with Masters and he claimed that Masters still resolves. The judge we called over seemed unqualified as he spoke with little confidence and just nodded almost ruling it in my opponents favor. Lucky for me the head judge was passing by and cleared it up and it was ruled correctly in my favor. This Crow stopped him going and I won shortly after. Game 3 I also opened crow and just beat him down like a Bawsss!

Round 2: Evilswarm Vs. Dragon Rulers

Despite losing the die roll I won game 1 with help from Dark Armed Dragon, but he sided well vs me and won game 2. Game 3 I had full control from turn 1, and evaded his Skill Drain with Pandemic, giving me that 1 turn to seal the game.

Round 3: Chaos Agents

Game 1 I just swarmed and beat him down after Veilering his Venus play, lucky for me he didn't have honest. Game 2 despite me having Light-Imprisoning Mirror face up early on, he drew XYZ Encore which turned the game in his favor, he then dropped a Hyperion and took the game. Game 3 Light-Imprisoning Mirror shut him down and I took the game fast. Dark Armed Dragon also made another appearance =)

Round 4: Evilswarm Vs. Dragunity Rulers (Luke Lennard)

Game 1 after I stopped his Dux-Phalanx play with an MST, I got control of the game and he couldn't get passed Ophion and scooped. Game 2 he went on a drawing spree on turn 3 and went through like half his deck eventually getting 2 fires to pop my Ophion, but as he went for the Dux-Phalanx play and thought he was gonna Synchro summon, I flipped XYZ Reborn, stopping his play and beat him in the next couple of turns. GGWP.

(At this point I started receiving some attention and recognition as I was the 1st person to beat Luke Lennard and was undefeated after 5 rounds of swiss)

Round 5: Evilswarm Vs. Dragunity Rulers (Rocco, the guy that got Simon He DQ'd at Euros)

Game 1 I won shortly after dropping Dark Armed, not much else to say. Game 2 was pretty tense especially coz he eventually got Skill Drain up but i evaded it for 1 turn with Pandemic and then top decked a Kerykion and used my final Pandemic to get Kerykion off and made a Crazy Box to seal the game.

(Started getting even more recognition as Rocco was another crowd favourite expected to win)

Round 6: Evilswarm Vs Hunders

Game 1 I just sacked him. Game 2 I sacked him even harder. Nothing more to say really.

Round 7: Evilswarm Vs. Dragon Rulers

This match was by far the best match of the entire day. Game 1 I OTK'd him on turn 3. I had an Ophion + Kagetokage face up. He set 2 and passed. On my turn I draw Kerykion, so I normal Castor, then normal Kerykion through Castors effect.. Detach the last material from Ophion to make Kerykion live, and bring back another Castor... So I Have 5 monsters on board and go YOLO on him. He flips Mirror force, I chain Pandemic, so only Kagetokage dies... I leave him on 350 at the end of the Battle Phase and Cowboy him for game on Main Phase 2. At this point the spectators were going nuts coz I think that was the first time they seen an Evilswarm OTK. Game 2 I was shut down by Skill Drain as well as getting EEV'd. Rough times... Game 3 was so intense and by far the most difficult duel of the day. I was under Skill Drain with minimal defensive cards left... I stalled with Pandemics every time he tried to summon an E Drag. Eventually I made Crazy Box and had an Ophion face up with Book of Moon and Compulsory set. He summoned Redox in defense and Tidal in Attack... he went on to attack Ophion but I BOM'd him. End phase I Compulsed his Redox. On my turn I attacked his set Tidal and gamed him with Crazy Box... Tough match.

Final Score: X-0 (21 Points)

I was undefeated the entire event (there was no top 8, a ranking system was used to declare a winner, second place, third place and so on) and was congratulated by the players and judges as everyone seemed impressed by my performance as I am also an unfamiliar face as it was my second time at that locals. I did get some bitter vibes from a couple of players as they thought I was lucky (which I was xD) but they all shook my hand again after the prizes were given out.

I won a box of Judgment of the Light as well as free entry to YCS London. The rest of the players in top 8/10 had JOTL packs given out to them. I also received a token which symbolizes an invite to a 16 man tourney in 2 weeks which has an up to £350 prize and a custom made mat by the organizers and I am assuming packs as well.

I also pulled an Ultimate Maestroke from random Astral Packs that were given out to everyone during Round 3.

Good job Salik, and good luck bro at YCS! Its always us online duelist who make a random appearance at locals from time to time and just sweep the tournament lol. Especially at my locals when people talk about the meta, I just "lol" in my mind the whole time, and when I look at their decks
