| Subject: Madolche Deck Discussion Wed Jan 29, 2014 10:44 pm | Madolche has been a under the radar deck, that barely seems to stand out at regionals and tends to be an area that general players struggle learning how to play against. They revolve mainly around putting field pressure, by comboing into Tiaramisu, which opens OTK ability. Now with the release of Madolche Angelly, the deck has gained a huge boost in terms of deck strengths and the lack of being able to stack madolches in grave is no longer as much as a huge weakness as it once was.
Normal Summon Mewfuille -> Special Summon Madolche Angelly. Tribute Angelly, Special Summon Hootcake from deck. Hootcake activates, banish Angelly from grave to summon Messengelato from deck. (Field is Hootcake, Messengelato, Mewlfuille, and the fresh Chateau) Activate Chateau, Overlay Hootcake and Mewlfuille for Leviair, the Sea Dragon. Leviair Special Summons Angelly. Angelly Overlays with Messengelato for Tiaramisu. Tiaramisu detaches Angelly to return 2 cards on the field to deck, and Chateau returns Angelly and Mewlfuille (Note these are the same cards at the beginning of the combo, meaning you can loop this again next turn.) This leaves you with... 2 card investment (-2) for... 1 Chateau 1 Tiaramisu 1 Leviair the Sea Dragon Same 2 cards back to hand. Grand total of (+3) of very devestating real card advantage. What's special about this play as opposed to Mewl into hootcake? 1) It required absolutely no setup, and was therefore available turn 1 at no cost. 2) It decreases the reliance on drawing into hootcake. 3) Leviair instead of Invoker opens significantly more plays, as Angelly -> Hootcake -> Messengelato, summon back angelly returns back 1 s/t, and 3 monsters on the field. Also consider that if you did the same mewl play as earlier, you can now make a rank 3 AND a rank 4, meaning you can do mechquipped angineer as your new Rank 3 rather than another invoker/leviair Here are a few notes about how Angelly make the deck even greater. |
