| Subject: Featured Card #20: Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit Fri May 15, 2015 5:17 pm | Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit (Lv 3, Light, Psychic, Tuner) During either player's turn, when a monster on the field activates its effect, or when a Spell/Trap Card that is already face-up on the field activates its effect: You can send this card from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard; destroy that card on the field. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" once per turn.First of all, welcome back to CEA. Our featured card will be updated weekly and we will start off with Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit (also known as Yuki Usagi).Yuki Usagi is a great hand trap following in the footsteps of Effect Veiler and Maxx C. While it is disappointing that it doesn't negate, it still serves its purpose in many ways. Firstly, it is a Lv 3 Psychic tuner... *cough*... Emergency Teleport is unlimited. It is a great generic Lv 3 tuners that gives access to many Lv 7 synchros such as Yazi/Clear Wing/Black Rose. You can also use Emergency Teleport offensively on the opponent's turn for a free turn/destruction. Secondly, it can be used both in hand and on the field: so its effect can be re-used with COTH or Powerful Rebirth. Thirdly, it can destroy monsters when they use effects such as Silent Honor Ark or the activation of face-up Spell/Trap cards such as Qliphort Scout. However, I believe that even though the card is powerful, it does not suit the meta right now. Most cards these days are floaters and since Yugi Usagi doesn't negate the usefulness of this card is somewhat restricted. While it is effective against Qliphorts and Fire Fist/Satellarknights, to me it is a card that would've been broken a few formats ago but released at the wrong time. Until the meta shifts for more Pendulum action or less floaters, I don't see this card as being too useful. Do you agree with me? Or am I being too strict on the card? |

I think with the introduction of lose 1 turn to the tcg and with it the slight resurgence of qliphorts cus floodgates... mean this card will probably be more useful than you are giving it credit for

I guess we just have to wait for more pendulum decks. Yes lose 1 turn is a thing but id rather mst it then use this.
I guess its really good in the QLIPHORT mu especially in the mirro drawing this card at the end phase from mono. |
